1. Private Residence
This has been the most common venue amongst my wedding couples this year. And let me tell you its for good reason! They are beautiful locations, cost effect and you don't have to fight other wedding couples for the date! Now I'm not saying that is for everyone. Personally I would not hold one at my residence, hahaha! But for some it just makes perfect sense.
2. Red Lodge Mountains
OMG! GUYS! Seriously I love doing engagements up in the Redloge Mountains but this was my first year doing a wedding in them and I am hooked for life! Now in some locations there are rules to this so be sure you do your research before just heading up. But it is so worth it! I mean just check out some of these awesome sunset shots we got!
3. Roots Garden Center
This was another first for me. This garden center is located in Billings, Montana. We shot a wedding within a greenhouse garden center. It was absolutely gorgeous! Pretty much decorated itself with all their beautiful plants. Staff was wonderful in making sure that vendors and couples were well taken care of.
4. Old West Town Museum
Now this is one of the locations that is not located in Montana! We got to travel out of state to Bismark, North Dakota and shoot at the Buckstop Junction. This has got to be a really cool venue. A little chapel to get married in, tons of old equipment and shops, a train depot and an old hotel to host your reception. The bar in this place was beautiful too! Definitely a location for a great themed wedding.
5. Fireman's Point
This seems to be a go to location for locals in the Columbus, Montana and surrounding area. You have a great view of the river, small cabin for reception and plenty of beautiful outdoor spots for a ceremony/reception.
6. The Montana Zoo
Have your wedding at a zoo? Why the heck not! Zoo Montana has many great photo opportunities, a goregous court yard and even a covered patio for your reception. What more can you ask for? Entertainment? How about getting to check out the animals!!
7. Saint Patrick Co Cathedral
A great historical church in the heart of downtown Billings. Great for your traditional church weddings. A beautiful setting to enhance your wedding photos. The also have a small court yard where you can get some more photos outside. Bonus for this venue is that they have a room for you to get ready in as well!
8. The Legacy Barn at Lonesome Spur Ranch
On my very last day in 2022 I got to photograph this gorgeous wedding at The Legacy barn in my soon to be home place Bridger, Montana. It wasn't quite how we expected a cold December day to look but the beautiful views of the Mountains the old outbuildings and expansive open field made for a beautiful backdrop. Now keep your eye on this place, they are up and coming in the wedding field and have big plans for the 2023 wedding season!
